Father McGivney conceived of an organization of Catholic men who would band together to aid one another and be of service to Church and community by coming to the aid of those most in need in society. They called themselves Knights to emphasize chivalry’s ideals of charity, and Columbus as a reminder that Catholics had been the backbone and bulwark of North America’s growth.

Sacred Heart Council 15593
Pastor Father John Duffy and Deacon Bill Letterio, being members of the Knights of Columbus for many years, were convinced that the families and men of Scared Heart Parish would benefit greatly from a Council in the Parish. Thanks to the dedicated work of District Deputy David Morris, the pastoral team and the men of the parish, Scared Heart Council received its Charter on October 14, 2012.
